Yu-Gi-Oh! is BETTER Than you Remember

For a long time, Yu-Gi-Oh! was written off as just a "kid's show," with the implication being that it had no merits outside of entertaining children. This sentiment was largely the result of people's impressions of the series being limited to what they've seen as a child. However, in more recent years, there's been a trend of people re-visiting the series later in life and realizing that there is more to this series than just a children's card game. While many have highlighted the various character arcs developed across the story, and the level of nuance and subtly involved in them, today, I have chosen to focus on another aspect of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga that often goes overlooked, namely, how it functions as an excellent battle shonen.
