A joint-affidavit from self-identified former soldiers is submitted to the Ombudmsan, doubling down on their accusations that businessman Zaldy Co delivered cash to several government officials.


The Ombudsman says it will review the statements, along with the evidence and credibility of those who executed them.


Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV has accused former congressman Mike Defensor of orchestrating the move to discredit investigators of the International Criminal Court (ICC).


He believes the same allegation will be used by the legal team of former president Rodrigo Duterte to seek the dismissal of the ICC case.


Meanwhile, the ICC Office of the Prosecutor maintains that its activities are funded through its own budget approved by the Assembly of States Parties.
