Time for God: Work and Worship – Dr. Tim Gray at the Napa Institute 2013 Summer Conference

Tethered to technology, all of us today are constantly connected, everywhere. Connected to the cloud, the crowd, to work, indeed, to the entire world. But this connectedness often comes at a cost of being disconnected: with ourselves, friends, family, and often even God. We need to rediscover the wisdom in God's Word that teaches us how to find order in the midst of chaos, peace in the midst of a multitude of to do lists, and space for friendship, family, and God. The secret behind navigating our busy workaday world is the gift of the Sabbath. The spirituality of the Sabbath will reveal the path to healing and wholeness. It will, above all, give us the space to make the connections that count most—and a life deeply connected to what matters most is a life well lived.
