1995 Ford Mondeo BTCC Super Touring Car - Pure Sound & Action! - Mallory Park

A Mondeo with a particularly fascinating past. Believed to be the earliest surviving Mondeo touring car, quite possibly the 1993 RWD testbed from Rouse Engineering and the sister car to the one Nigel Mansell wrecked in the Toca Shootout, it would eventually find itself as a show car done up in the later Valvoline livery of the 1995 BTCC season. Ran today by AJ Owen and Craig Owen at ORT Motorsport after being found as a mere shell in the mid 2000's, it remains a fully operational piece of Super Touring car history, which can't really be said for a lot of these extremely high tech and expensive machines. Hopefully I've got that right, there was a lot to take in! I'm sure AJ or Craig will correct anything in the comments!
