Russian Su-34 crashes in mountainous region of Ossettia, both pilots killed.

A Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber crashed on June 11 in the mountainous region of North Ossetia, killing both pilots. This information was conveyed by the Russian Ministry of Defense in its statement.

“In the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, a Russian Aerospace Forces Su-34 aircraft crashed during a scheduled training flight in a mountainous area. The plane crashed in a deserted area."

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, initial indications suggest the plane experienced technical problems and both pilots had no chance of survival.

A special commission has been created to find out all the circumstances of the accident. Experts have been sent to the scene.

Previously in mid-September 2023, a Russian Su-34 crashed during a training flight in Russia's Voronezh region, which borders Ukraine's eastern Luhansk region.

In that incident the two Su-34 pilots managed to get out of the plane before the plane crashed.

In October 2022, Russian authorities said 15 people were killed when a Su-34 crashed into a residential building in Yeysk, a city in Russia's southern Krasnodar region.

The Su-34 is a fighter bomber designed with a crew of two people sitting side by side in the cockpit.

This aircraft with the NATO code Fullback has multi-role capabilities for air-to-air combat and air-to-surface attacks. #armyrangers #military #armyranger #navy #usarmytraining #army #marine #usarmy #airforce
