Описание к видео Lightbox 2021: Gouache for Digital Artists

Recording of my livestream demo for Lightbox 2021!
This is an intro to gouache for artists who already have a digital background. I go over materials, how to use your existing digital skills to make gouache easier, and how to take your newfound gouache skills back to your digital work.

The materials I use:
My old faithful brush: Cotman Watercolor Brush Series 667 Angular 1/2 inch: https://www.jerrysartarama.com/brushe...
Red Dot synthetic collection from Rosemary & Co. Brushes: https://www.rosemaryandco.com/brush-s...
Winsor & Newton Gouache: https://www.jerrysartarama.com/art-pa...
Color List:
Alizarin Crimson
Cadmium Red
Lemon Yellow
Cadmium Yellow
Cerulean Blue
Ultramarine Blue
Naples Yellow
Burnt Sienna
Yellow Ochre
Titanium White
Ivory Black
I also have some Schminke gouaches:

Arches Hot Press (the pink one): https://www.jerrysartarama.com/arches...

Soy sauce dishes:

lol look at these cute star ones, they have heart ones too: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0922GBTQR/...

Soap dishes:

Other brands that are cheaper that I think would still be great:

Paper: literally anything. I do recommend at least a slightly heavier weight because gouache is a water medium and it's just easier if you're not dealing with buckling. any mixed media paper works fine, strathmore, canson, whatever you've got.

Brushes: student brushes work great, I recommend a small flat square one like the one I showed in the video, a round one and then a slightly larger square to start

Gouache: any kind you can find, though not the dried pan type. Some brands to check out are Lukas, Pebeo, Daler Rowney, Winsor & Newton
