The PSN went down for 8 hours starting on Monday night

Even after it was fixed, people were reporting issues staying connected to games and chats

And because of the draconian license checking that the PS5 has to do frequently, if you hadn’t logged in for a day or two, downloaded single player games were inaccessible as well

And once again, Sony did not acknowledge the issue in any way.

Sony Fixed the PS5 Dashboard!

Last video we talked about how the latest PS5 Update filled the dashboard with ads

On Monday night, Sony actually decided to speak to their customers and tell them that it was a bug that would be resolved

This update has been a mess

Not only did it break the game splash screens on the dashboard, it also completely broke Final Fantasy 16 to the point where a new software update had to be pushed to fix the issue

Sony is buckling under the weight of spreading itself too thin and it’s eerily reminiscent of the pile of tiny issues that Xbox has been building this generation

They need to re-center their strategy and make sure core services like online, system updates and everything else work before anything else
