A Modern Classic: Maxon SD9 | In-depth review

It was thanks to the wonderful recorded tones of Michael Landau & Scott Henderson that I was first introduced to the Maxon SD9. I found a pedal with a bit of a learning curve, but once used to its idiosyncrasies it was a clear and punchy drive pedal. It's been my drive pedal of choice for more than a decade, and even the settings haven't changed much!

I plug the pedal into a Custom Audio Amplifiers OD100 Classic Plus - an amp that excels at Fender blackface cleans and Marshall style crunch.
