The glamorous comeback of the legendary 109-year-old Flying P-Liner PEKING. The PEKING was built in 1911 in Hamburg (Germany) at the Blohm+Voss shipyard for the F. Laeisz shipping company and is one of the shipping company's legendary Flying P-Liners. From 1975 to 2016 the PEKING was a museum ship in New York in the South Street Seaport Museum and was exposed to decay during this time. After the PEKING was brought back from the USA to Germany with a dock ship in July 2017, she was completely restored from 2017 to 2020 by PETERS WERFT shipyard in Wewelsfleth (Germany). On 07.09.2020 the PEKING was towed to Hamburg, where she will serve as a museum ship for the Hamburg Harbor Museum in the future.
The video shows the PEKING on 06.09.2020 at PETERS WERFT shipyard in Wewelsfleth and on 07.09.2020 on its way to Hamburg at the passage of the river Stör lock and on the river Elbe near Kollmar.
