$20 Solution for Crystal Clear Circle Ice: SimpleTaste Review

Today we tested the SIMPLETASTE Crystal Clear Ice Ball Maker, a $20 ice maker from Amazon.

The design is extremely straightforward and user-friendly. Fill the base with water up to the marked water line, insert the blue tray into the base until you can press no further, and put it in the freezer for 24 hours.

After 24 hours, it was easy enough to remove and open the blue tray to reveal the 2 ice balls.

Clarity of the ice was fairly good for a $20 setup. We gave it 8/10. There was a noticeable cloud at one end of the ice. We may try a few different freezing techniques to see if we can get rid of that.

Overall, for $20, it’s hard to go wrong here. If you want clear circle ice, and you have the freezer space, we think it’s worth it. We’ll be using it here at the Liber office.
