旅居台湾十年，刘静怡吸收了当地文化养分，外表和口音与当地人无异，内心却深知自己并不属于这里。回到马来西亚后，她发现自己与故乡格格不入，于是展开了一段自我探索的旅程。

驻村的体验为刘静怡提供了看待世界的不同视角。在台湾，她以花草、植物和石头为创作媒介，呈现身份的多元性。回到马来西亚，她发现外来文化已成为当地民族身份的象征，如：马六甲峇峇娘惹瓷砖、砂拉越原住民琉璃珠子等。

透过这些观察，她体悟到文化的流动性与身份的多重可能性，并以作品的方式将所思所想呈现出来。她说，也许我们来自哪里并不重要，重要的是：你是谁？

"The essence of stop-motion animation is to create life between stillness and flow. It mirrors the essence of culture and humanity."

After living in Taiwan for ten years, Raito Low absorbed the local cultural influences. Her appearance and accent blended seamlessly with the locals, but deep down, she always felt that she didn’t truly belong. Upon returning to Malaysia, she found herself disconnected from her hometown as well, sparking a journey of self-exploration.

Her time spent in a village offered her a new perspective on the world. In Taiwan, she had used flowers, plants, and stones as creative media to explore the diversity of identity. Back in Malaysia, she observed how foreign culture had intertwined with local ethnic identities—symbols like Malacca’s Baba Nyonya tiles or Sarawak’s indigenous glass beads reflected this fusion.

Through these observations, Raito realized the fluid nature of culture and the many possibilities of identity. She expressed these reflections in her creative work, ultimately concluding that it may not matter where we come from. What truly matters is the question: who are you?

After living in Taiwan for a decade, artist Raito has assimilated into the local culture.

In Taiwan, she used flowers, plants and stones as creative media to express the diversity of identity. In Malaysia, she noticed that foreign cultural elements had become symbols of local ethnic identities, such as the Baba Nyonya tiles of Malacca and the glass beads of Sarawak's indigenous people.

These observations led her to realize the fluid nature of culture and the many possibilities of identity. Her creations showcase a blend of refined craftsmanship and innovative thinking, balancing stillness and movement.
