Hint hint, install the appropriate plugins via terminal.

It is kinda sad how much of a fail this is for plasma. It offers VPN configuration setups without informing the user that they DO NOT have it in the first place. Well, they don't tell them until AFTER they have configured the system.

It should automatically check against it, offer permission to install for you, then complete the setup. And it should really keep that odd pop up screen (not shown in the video) asking for password and 2FA and re-language it....what is this talk about "permission to store secrets?"

Its 2021. The average linux user isn't a neck-beard. Let's design UX like it.

TIPS:
A more formal how to doc will be done later. For now, here is how:

1st find out which vpn system you plan on using. For me, it was Cisco AnyConnect.

After fiddling w/ menus, I found it was the openconnect variant.

When in the "add vpn" menu - you can see the type of vpn backend being used in "parenthesis".

For me, it was listed as "Cisco AnyConnect Compatible VPN (openconnect).

I go to the terminal and type in

sudo apt install openconnect. Get that installed. Then...

sudo apt install network-manager-openconnect

Once installed. Reboot. And add the VPN, setup credentials, go through the prompts (including that second one with odd phrasing about "secrets", and connect.
