Basic Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar Lesson

Описание к видео Basic Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar Lesson

Here are some pointers for playing basic bluegrass rhythm guitar.

I'm mostly playing a G5 chord in this video which is :

e-3
B-3
G-0
D-0
A-x (muted)
E-3

Practice playing cleanly and accurately. Strike the bass string with a rigid pick and loosen your grip slightly to get a nice "brush" on the high-three strings of the guitar. Try to strum only the G, B, and high E strings on the strum.

strike the bass notes over the rosette at the back of the soundhole and strum the high-three strings near the saddle.

I use a triangle pick that is thicker than 1mm. Any thick pick will be fine, but you don't want your pick to flex. Thick picks are important to the bluegrass sound.

post questions in the comments, and good luck!!!
