The last roll of film my family shot. Most of it was shot by a young me.

From 00:00 to 00:29 - The roll opens in the summer of 1972 with me trying my hand with the family camera. Testing out the turret lenses, etc. My initial choice was to try and film birds since they are all around.
From 00:29 to 01:42 - The new Civic Center. It had only just been built, wasn't 100% finished, and hadn't been landscaped yet. My father was the Building Manager so I had unlimited run of the facility. I know of nooks and crannies few others know about. The traveling was along Bor Du Lac drive heading north. The I-10 bridge can be seen. The sail boat was shot from a Civic Center balcony facing the lake. The marks at 01:26 were my first attempts at "special effects" made by scratching the film stock. At 01:35 the actual Civic Center can be seen. This is the Theater end. The doors seen in the center of the wall open on to the backstage area for bringing sets, etc. into the stage area. The main entrance is around the building to the right in the center of the "V" formed by the two wings of the building. In the back opposite the main entrance were doors leading into the catering kitchens and the large glass wall of the exhibiton hall that slid open. Now, the exhibition hall has been split up into smaller areas so it is essentially useless for large gatherings now.
From 01:42 to 01::46 - The house across the street from us.
From 01:46 to END - Snow in Lake Charles . . . a rare occurrence. We had a Pontiac Bonneville at the time as well as my fathers 1964 Corvair Station Wagon which we brought down when we moved from Kansas. Our dog, Penny, being from the family farm in Ohio was right at home in the snow. At 05:47 my mother is seen with Penny. At 06:31 we see me again.

I apologize for the video, my parents had no eye or camera technique and would often leave the turret lens set to telephoto when trying to take a wide shot. they also seldom paid attention to film stock using indoor film outside, outdoor film inside, etc.
