Soul Link Challenge Rules!

-The first encounters in each area are 'paired' until death, if one Pokémon in the pair faints, both Pokémon die, and cannot be used again.

-You can only catch the first 'valid' (see below*) Pokémon encounter in each area, if it faints or flees for either player, that area cannot have an encounter.

-*Both Pokémon in the pair must be the same gender, and have different primary types.

-Across both players parties, primary typings cannot be repeated, making it very challenging to have full teams of six.

-Paired Pokémon must either both be in each trainers’ party, or both be in the PC.

-No items in battle may be used except Pokéballs, but held items are allowed.

-Battle style must be Set, not Switch.

-You must nickname all Pokémon to create attachment.

-The Level Cap is the next gym leader’s strongest Pokémon.

-Trainers have a level boost of 20%, and will all have fully evolved Pokémon by level 36.

-Wild Pokémon, Trainer Pokémon and Field Items are all randomised.

There’s a few other (less interesting) randomisation settings like TM+HM compatibility being random, and the rival carrying their starter throughout the game etc, but if you want the randomisation settings file that i use, just drop me a dm on discord and i can send it to you :) (montymonferno)
