From a grotesque reimagining of Poison Ivy to Batman tearing through spore-mutated enemies with wrist-mounted chainsaws, this book fully embraces the “big, dumb, loud” energy that’s made Absolute Batman the talk of the industry. Canete’s art brings that larger-than-life, kinetic intensity that makes the action feel explosive instead of staged, while Snyder expands the mythology in ways that feel tragic, extreme, and unmistakably Absolute.

It’s not subtle — and it’s not trying to be. The Court of Owls enters the Absolute Universe, Bruce’s personal life keeps unraveling, and Gotham gets even stranger. If you want grounded detective work, look elsewhere. If you want exaggerated spectacle and DC characters pushed to their limits, this issue absolutely commits.
