How to Add Multiple Monitors or Displays to Streamlabs OBS (Easy Tutorial)

Adding multiple monitors or displays to Streamlabs OBS can enhance your streaming experience. Here are some methods you can use:

Dual Output in Streamlabs Desktop:
Streamlabs Desktop now supports a Dual Output feature, which allows you to create content for both horizontal and vertical platforms simultaneously. For example, if you’re streaming on Twitch, you can also stream to TikTok or Instagram (if you qualify for live streaming on those platforms).

Here’s how to set it up:
Ensure you have at least one platform connected to your Streamlabs account that requires a horizontal canvas and one that requires a vertical one.

Go to Settings, then select Stream. Connect the desired accounts.
Under Video, toggle on Enable Dual Output.
Scenes and sources are shared automatically between the two canvases, but you can toggle their visibility as needed.

OBS Studio Multiview Feature:
OBS Studio offers a Multiview feature that allows you to manage multiple monitors efficiently.

To display Multiview on a specific monitor:
Enable Multiview (Fullscreen) in the View - Multiview menu.
Go to Settings - Video in OBS Studio.

Select the desired monitor from the Multiview Monitor dropdown menu2.
Dual PC Setup with Elgato Capture Card:
If you’re using a dual PC setup with an Elgato capture card, you can extend your display to multiple monitors.
Follow these steps:

Click on Set up multiple displays in the left sidebar.
In the Select displays you want to use box, choose your main monitor and the Elgato capture card.
Right-click on the primary display (marked with a big 1) and select Display 2.
Click Apply to save your changes
