On April 19, 2017, Harry Hibbs represented his home province one more time as he became the very first Newfoundlander to be inducted into the Nova Scotia Music Hall of Fame.

The ceremony also included Natalie MacMaster, Gene McLelland and Ken Tobias.

Accordionist Ryan Baker played for Harry, and singer/songwriter Bruce Guthro sang two Harry Hibbs classics. Producer & journalist, Russell Bowers accepted the award on behalf of the Hibbs Family.

Comedians, Bette MacDonald and Maynard Morrison hosted the ceremony at Casino Nova Scotia in Sydney.
