Yngve Ekström and his legendary Lamino chair, a Swedish modernist icon

In this video we're taking a closer look at one of the most popular Swedish easy chairs - the Lamino designed in 1956 by Yngve Ekström. We'll show you some of it's predecessors and also some followers. Ekström did indeed design a lot of other chairs, but none of them were as successful as the Lamino. His company Swedese, originally called ESE Möbler, is one of Sweden's most famous furniture manufacturers and the Lamino chair is still today their bestseller!
