Being a public speaker may look relatively easy from the outside, but anyone who’s tried to find success speaking at conferences, corporate workshops, and other events knows that it can be incredibly difficult to stand out amidst the sea of others competing for limited speaking slots. By following these five steps, you can improve your public speaking performances and extract more value from speaking engagements, both in terms of booking paid appearances and getting valuable exposure for your other business ventures. The field is crowded, but if you focus on what makes you unique as a speaker and work hard at crafting an engaging performance, you can find success in the public speaking business over time.
