Atlas makes a Pool Putty called Epoxybond which allows for patching plaster pools underwater. This is VERY nice considering the alternative is emptying the pool and refilling it which is time consuming and expensive. This Epoxy comes in two containers which has hardener in one and resin in the other. Merely mix the equal two parts and then stick it on the crack. Pretty simple!

This stuff is well packaged, easy to reseal, easy to use and works great! It's a bit pricey but MUCH MUCH cheaper than emptying the pool and MUCH EASIER! Check it out....
