Here is a list of bollywood actors who started off as child artists but later on made it big in bollywood.

1. Neetu Singh: She has worked in films since she could walk. Her first film in 1968 was ‘Do Kaliyaan’ (a remake of the Hollywood classic ‘The Parent Trap’) where she played a double role – Ganga and Jamuna – with incredible ease. She wowed the audience with her cuteness and went onto star in films like Waris and Pavitra Paapi as a child artist before her debut as an elder actress in Yaadon Ki Baraat.

2. Rishi Kapoor: Rishi Kapoor is an Indian actor, director and producer known for his works in Hindi cinema. He received the National Film Award for his debut role as a child artist in his father Raj Kapoor's 1970 film Mera Naam Joker and later debuted as a hero in 'Bobby'.

3. Sridevi: Sridevi is the diva most women wish to be. But before she became a diva, she was a child artist who featured in multiple Tamil and Telugu films where she played mythological characters. It was then that she got a break in Hindi cinema with ‘solvan saawan’ in 1979 and the rest, as they say, is history.

4. Padmini Kolhapure: Her most famous child role was playing a child in Raj Kapoor's 1977 film Satyam Shivam Sundaram. As a child, she sang in the chorus for songs in films such as Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Kitab and Dushman Dost with her sister Shivangi. Padmini later sang for her own films such as Vidhaata, Saat Saheliyan, Hum Intezaar Karenge and Sadak Chaap (with Kishore Kumar). She released an album with Bappi Lahiri titled Music Lovers. She performed for the Greater London Council at the Royal Albert Hall in London with Bappi Lahiri and his troupe in 1986. Her success led to her most controversial role in Insaaf Ka Tarazu (1980), a remake of Lipstick (1976), where she played the rape victim that was originally played by Mariel Hemingway. She earned the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for her performance

5. Urmila Matondkar: Urmila debuted in 1981 movie Kalyug but was noticed as child actor for her portrayal in Shekhar Kapur’s touching 1983 movie Masoom. She not only went on to give several hits but was also one of the most sought out actor in terms of performance oriented charecters. Some of her notable work has been in Pinjar, Bhoot, Rangeela and Ek Haseena Thi.
