In this short bushcraft trip I used the setting of the onset of winter to build a survival shelter for overnight stays on the edge of a torrent. Spruce branches are ideal for quick protection against snow and cold. Temperatures were more or less around freezing. The site is about 1800 meters above sea level. I built the sleeping place and the shelter within 2 afternoons, until I finally had time to spend a whole day at the camp with overnight included.
