Well I have to admit that this video does not represent the 1st time I’ve been out this season. As we said last season, regardless how great the scenery is, if there’s no fish, there’s no video. I did have a a great brown on for seconds yesterday but ineptitude by yours truly allowed it to escape. There’ll be another day!
Alfred and I had a busy March doing the maple syrup videos, good fun.
And both of us were waiting for the 4th Saturday in April. It’s great to be back at the water. Alfred went for a walk a week before the season started and was excited with the fish he saw.
Went to Alfred’s favourite stream today, the 1 where the waters get fouled up quickly with that aquatic streamer type plant, but also holds some huge colourful browns. So you have to go early to fish it.
I caught a great brown within the 1st 20 minutes and then nothing for the rest of the day, didn’t see a chub and only 1 other brown. I sure figured the auspicious start augured well for a great day of catch and release. Nope, not to be but the day was spectacular as it was great to be alone in such wonderful surroundings.
So Alfred, thanks for putting the segments together for the 1st video of season 3. And to the viewers, glad to still have you around. Once Alfred gets out, this dynamic duo will have many more videos to view.
