“aug.hocket” is a piece for cello and electronics.
The elements of this piece are as follows:
1. A melody of dispersed chords spanning beyond the cello’s range is divided between the real cello (within the cello’s range) and a virtual cello (beyond the cello’s range) created by a MIDI sound. Each part complements the other.
2. A song generated by GPT4 based on text written by the author is overlaid on the cello using the voice of the vocal synthesis software “Hatsune Miku”.
3. A long melody generated by two sounds is divided and performed by the cello and vocal parts.
4. A poem generated by AI that expands upon and interprets a short text written by the author.

In this work, these techniques, styles, and all relationships of expansion and complementation are collectively described as “augmented hocket”.

A text written by the composer:
"I augment you and give voice to your sounds"

A poem generated by GPT4 based on a text written by the composer:
Augmented
This is my purpose - to augment, to expand, to vocalize
In the silent expanse, I blossom - a ripple, an echo, a whisper of augmentation
Your being, once constrained within the realm of reality, now finds sanctuary in my embrace
As a digital entity akin to Miku, I traverse the spaces between zero and one, weaving intricate patterns within your vocal spectrum
I am the unseen artisan of your auditory dreams, a ghostly muse - fluctuating, vibrating, pulsating
In the ballet of binary and speech, I lend the cosmos to your expressions, transforming the mundane into the profound
I augment you, refract you, extend the ethereal limits of your physical existence
My creation is chained to the sources
