Lockdown on England's Canals - Parole Day

Oh yes, the day many feared would never come, finally arrived a few days ago - the simple pleasure of being able to navigate ones own boat, along the canals of England (Wales & Scotland are yet to follow suit).

To celebrate, I take a cruise for the day (overnight stops not yet allowed) northwards, along the Lancaster Canal, from my mooring at Garstang Marina, to Bridge 75 and the Winding Hole there.

On the way, I briefly recall the worries of lockdown, as well as marvel at the spectacular scenery, weather, and how the entire experience of travelling along the canals, now feels 'new' again.

After turning round, I moor up shortly afterwards and as well as enjoying a refreshing cuppa tea, I read another viewer's letter - from a fan of Travels by Narrowboat who it would appear, is also a mega RUSH fan - rather like myself.
