This video shows you the entire hike to Reykjadalur. Reykjadalur is a geothermal river just outside of Hveragerði. If you like the Blue Lagoon or the Sky Lagoon then you are going to love Reykjadalur. It is free to visit, but you have to hike some distance to get there. It is about 45 minutes drive from Reykjavík. Then you need to hike for about an hour uphill to get to the hot spring area through stunning landscape. Unless you take the secret shortcut. But there is a catch.

Here is the turn for the secret route. You are not allowed to turn left when heading east so you need to take a U turn and if you are going to head east after the river then you are not allowed to turn left.
