Wanted to post this at the start of the week but figured since it's about whether or not to invest, it would make more sense to give people more time to think while the market is closed for a couple of days.

In any case, with rampant inflation, a seemingly endless market retreat, the FED tightening overseas, and a number of past interest rate increases with more on the way, things are looking really damn bleak for retail investors. Personally, none of this bothers me much because a sleepy market like this is when I just go back to doing my boring DCAs and pulling my buy prices down, but for those not already in the market and mulling the idea of jumping in now that we're down bad over the past year could do well to consider dipping their toes into the water now. Today I'm going to provide a take from both sides to help those in that situation better understand their options at the current place and time.
