The African Union is hosting its annual summit in Addis Ababa this week. And there is plenty to discuss this year. That includes general themes like investing in young people, encouraging entrepreneurship, and the AU financing itself. Last year's summit gave focus to women's empowerment, This year the 28th African Union summit is convening under the theme 'harnessing the demographic dividend through investments in youth'. Current AU Commission Chair Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma says young people need to be placed at the heart of the AU's Agenda 2063. A new Commission Chair is also due to be elected out of five candidates.
