What if Doctor Who Wasn't Cancelled? | Richard Griffiths Doctor Opening + Closing Titles (1993)

Описание к видео What if Doctor Who Wasn't Cancelled? | Richard Griffiths Doctor Opening + Closing Titles (1993)

For 30 years, fans have speculated what would have happened had Doctor Who not been cancelled in 1989, and many have come to quite different conclusions. Some say that an unknown would have taken over from Sylvester McCoy once he had left at the end of Season 27, while others have speculated that the role would be taken by actor Richard Griffiths. Whether Richard's Doctor would have actually happened, we'll never know, but it does make for some interesting ideas.

It's commonly considered by fans that Richard would have inherited the 1987 titles with a slight redux for his early era, and then would have gotten his own later on. This video depicts what that new title sequence might have looked like, along with a brief opening and closing scene for episode three of 'Transit', the story that allegedly debuts the new title sequence, as said in OpticalSpectre's video on what season 30 of Doctor Who (1993) might have looked like had the show avoided cancellation (even though we have absolutely no idea what that would have looked like). Big thanks to him for letting me use his logo. Transit was part of the VNAs, so probably would have to be modified a lot, especially tonally, for a TV version. Remember all this is highly speculative, and we have no idea what would have happened if the 1989 cancellation never took place. We have a ROUGH idea on what season 27 would be, but beyond that? Who knows...
