As the highest point on Luzon with 2,926 meters above sea level, Mount Pulag is also the third-highest mountain in the Philippines and the 26th-highest peak on an island in the world. In the Philippines, it is the third most notable peak.

I can say our host for our homestay was so very accommodating and she allow us to cook as well there. They provide us complete kitchen stuff and unlimited coffee refills :) She also assists us to arrange our DIY hike there.

Before we go on our homestay we stop by to register at DENR and they require medical certificate stating we are fit to hike. Then after that we are good to go and take a rest to get ready the hike on the next early morning .

Needs to prepare before hiking Mt. Pulag:
Reliable and comfy pair of hiking shoes
Windbreaker or raincoat
Down jacket
Gloves
Hiking pants
Thermal underwear
Set of top and bottom to layer with thermal underwear
Small waterproof backpack to carry during the hike
Electrolyte drink i.e. Pocari or Gatorade
Drinking water
Trail food i.e. trail mix, nuts, jellyace, chocolates
Headlamp
Cap or beanie
First aid kit
