Questions around Britain's vaccine supply continue after Indian government delayed five million doses of the Oxford jab being sent to the UK. The immediate impact of the diverted doses will be felt by those in their forties, who may have to wait an extra month to get their first dose.

Nearly 620,000 women suffered a rape, sexual assault or attempted sex attack last year but only one in six reported the crime, official figures revealed today. The figures, published by the Office for National Statistics, also show that more than one in 20 women have been raped since the age of 16 and that half of sex attack victims have been targeted more than once.

BBC is set to move hundreds of jobs out of London to get closer to audiences, create jobs and investment and nurture new talent. The corporation's boss Tim Davie today said they must sell off property in London and move hundreds of employees out of the capital. As part of proposals published today, flagship shows including Newsnight and Radio 4’s Today Programme will move out of London for some of the year, while the BBC will take on Coronation Street with a new “long-running drama series” set in the North of England.

and finally more than 80 of London’s leading contemporary galleries are joining forces this summer for a “celebration” of the capital’s art scene. The three-day London Gallery Weekend is set to become an annual event after it starts on June 4 with a programme of talks, studio visits, children’s events and late openings focusing on venues in different parts of the city. The idea is inspired by how the capital’s galleries co-operated during the pandemic to keep their businesses afloat when viewings and launches suddenly became off-limits or severely restricted.
