📖 We learn from Jesus that every part of the OT points to him, including the Psalms. (Luke 24:44-45)

🏔️ In Psalm 121, when the psalmist writes, "I lift up my eyes to the hills, from where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth," he's ultimately directing us to the pinnacle of his promise, Mount Calvary.

⚡ While Mount Sinai represents the thundering law, and the Mount of Transfiguration offers a glimpse of Christ's glory, Mount Calvary stands as the supreme peak of God's grace and mercy.

⚔️ There, Jesus fulfilled Isaiah's prophecy by conquering death . . .

➡️ His feet were pierced so ours wouldn't stumble
➡️ He endured God's wrath so we wouldn't have to
➡️ He buried our sins in his grave to hold us in his steadfast love

🌅 Psalm 121 reminds us that although we live in death's shadow, we dwell in the cross's protective shade.

🙌 The Lord who bore all evil and sin promises to keep us in his pierced hands — the same hands that were stretched out on the cross.

👑 The God who holds heaven and earth holds and keeps us, guarding our going out and coming in from this time forth and forevermore.
