We asked our ambassador Kayelene Kerr founder of @eSafeKids what it means to be part of the Valuing Children Initiative...Here is what she had to say....

"I have dedicated my working life to protecting and serving the community and I am proud to be an ambassador for the Valuing Children Initiative. I believe protecting children from harm is a shared responsibility and we all have a role to play in the care, safety and protection of children. We have a responsibility to provide every child with the opportunity to fulfil their hopes, dreams and aspirations. We must acknowledge children lack control over their circumstances and sadly don’t all start at the same line in life. Various factors and circumstances create disparities. Recognising these differences is crucial to address inequities and ensuring all children have equal opportunities to thrive. By acknowledging and addressing these disparities, societies can work towards creating a more inclusive and just environment for every child, regardless of their starting point. Valuing children and their childhood is essential as they represent the future of our society. We must invest in this work not because it’s easy, but because it’s necessary, our children deserve nothing less. You can’t do everything, so focus on the difference you can make in the life of one child."

Kayelene Kerr is the founder of eSafeKids and is recognised as one of Western Australia’s most experienced specialist providers of Cyber Safety, Digital Wellness and Pornography education workshops. She is also endorsed by the Australian eSafety Commissioner as a Trusted eSafety Provider.
