^ The word there for “examine” is the Greek word δοκιμαζέτω, from “dokimazo” meaning “to examine with a view of approval”
Romans 12:1- Present yourself as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God
Ephesians 1:6- God made us accepted in Jesus the Beloved
“For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.”

^ The word there for “discerning” is διακρίνων (“diakrino”) meaning “to separate, or make a distinction between the two”
1 Peter 2:24 and Isaiah 53- By Jesus’s wound we were healed and we ARE healed

^ For “When we are judged”, the Greek word there for “judged” is διεκρίνομεν, from the same root word of “diakrino”, meaning “to be seperated, or make a distinction”
^ For “We are chastened”, the Greek word for “chastened” is παιδευόμεθα from the Greek root word “paideuo” meaning “to educate a child”
Matthew 26:28- Jesus’s blood was shed for the remission of our sins
