The Perfect Mosin, M39 & The WWII Story - Rifles Of Finland Part III

Описание к видео The Perfect Mosin, M39 & The WWII Story - Rifles Of Finland Part III

In episode #3 in our series looking at Finnish military issue rifles, we get into the final Mosins manufactured by the nation. First we talk about the design and development from the M27RV carbine and M35 short rifle, and show how these and the M28/30 lead directly to the creation of the M39. The M39 was used by both the Army and Civil Guard, and really is one of the best and most refined Mosin-Nagants ever made.
Next, we move into the Winter and Continuation Wars. We discuss the M39's performance, and also get into Finland's issuing and even manufacturing of the M91/30. We explain why it became a substitute standard rifle, even though the M39 was in every way a superior design.

The VKT / SAKO M39 is the main featured rifle in this video, but other appearances include: Imperial German Kar.98a, 1927 Russian M91/30 'x-Dragoon', Finn reworked 1939 Tula M91/30, and 1944 Tikkakoski production M91/30.
