I am a 6'6 225 lbs Defensive End and Tight End from the Toronto Area, in Canada. I was born in Upstate, NY but moved to Canada with my family in late 2002. I have dual citizenship. I do not need any Visa or papers to attend College or University in the US. I have started on the Huron Heights varsity team for 2 years. I am currently starting DE for the Under 19 competitive football team, The Kitchener Predators. I have a 2.5 GPA and a will be taking the SAT’s in Oct 2014. I have really worked hard in school to get where I am today. I have an Individual Education Plan (IEP) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), which has caused a learning disability. All of my teachers say that I am the hardest worker in their class and love my attitude and drive to succeed. I am a hardcore weightlifter and am very strong and fast for my age (17). I have a size 17.5 shoe and doctor’s predict my final height will be 6’8 or 6’9 by the time I am finished growing.
I have recently attended some great football camps in the Toronto Area, run by current and ex CFL players and coaches. The scouts at the camp were from Canadian Universities, but I was told that a good number of D-1 Canadian Universities thought I had great athletic ability, was very strong, agile and fast and said I had a great future ahead in Football. I have been playing football since I was five years old, and it is my passion. I love football and have a never quit attitude in football and in life. In addition, I have been receiving personal training from Depth Training in Waterloo. This is a state of the art training facility for elite athletes. I have been given a customized program for Defensive End/Tight Ends, that was written by their two Kinesiologists staff. They both have Masters in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. This program is focussing on speed, explosiveness, strength and agility. I have already seen noticeable results.
I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field. It is very important that I attend a school that can provide me with an IEP and special accommodations for my learning disability/ADD. I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of Business, focusing on International Business, if at all possible Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team.
