After the death of King Abhaya Malla, the kingdom was ruled by Malaya Bamma. After his death, the country was disintegrated and formed the Baise and Chaubise Rajya. Salyan was one of the Baise Rajya and it is believed that King Sumeru Burma established the state and was known as the Salyan Kingdom's first ruler.
