SRI SRI GURU PUJA & ARATI : BHARAT SEVASHRAM SANGHA, DELHI

His Holiness Srimat Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj, revered Acting President of Bharat Sevashram Sangha performed evening Arati of Acharya Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj (Sri Sri Guruji Maharaj - Founder of Bharat Sevashram Sangha) on 21st November 2020 at Srinivaspuri, Delhi Ashram of the Sangha.

Swamiji was telling to Swami Siddharthanandaji before evening Arati that he was sent to Delhi by His Holiness Srimat Swami Satchidanandaji Maharaj (Bada Swamiji) to Delhi from Kolkata Head Office in 1967 for the establishment of Delhi Ashram. Initially Swamiji stayed in East Patel Nagar at the location of Swami Keshavanandaji Maharaj and thereafter at Lajpat Nagar, Srinivaspuri. Swamiji used to ride on bi-cycle which was taken on rent for all the works. When Shri V V Giri, the then Hon'ble President of India consented to lay the foundation stone of New Delhi Ashram of the Sangha (4th June 1970), Lt. Governor of Delhi Shri Aditya Nath Jha extended his helping hand to Swamiji for the successful arrangements of the programme. Shri B C Ganguly, the then Railway Board Chairman also helped and His Holiness Srimat Swami Advaitanandaji Maharaj, Genral Secretary of the Sangha and Srimat Swami Yoganandaji Maharaj, Vice President of the Sangha came for the Foundation Stone Laying ceremony beside Srimat Swami Vijoyananadaji Maharaj who were all present and spoke on the occasion.

Later on Swamiji was sent to London and other foreign countries to assist His Holiness Srimat Swami Purnanandaji Maharaj. Later on, after the demise of His Holiness Srimat Swami Vijoyanandaji Maharaj, Swamiji took charge of the Delhi Ashram in 1992.
