The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ model is now available on order. Mercedes EQA 250+ variant has 540km of range. That is 112km more than standard EQA with has 428km of electric range. The EQA 250+ has the same power as the standard EQA with 190 hp. Power is transmitted to the front axle in both variants. The EQA 250+ accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds which is a bit slower compared to standard EQA with 8.9 seconds. Both variants have the same maximum top speed of 160 km/h. The EQA 250+ model has a bigger 70.5 kWh battery capacity, which is a bit more than the standard 66.5 kWh battery capacity.

The additional 112km electric range is achieved in several ways. Mercedes replaces the asynchronous motor of the EQA 250 with other permanent synchronous magnets, which are more efficient and gives 60 km more range. Also with additional 4 kWh more battery capacity, the battery delivers an extra 31 km. The remaining 21 km have been made possible thanks to unique tires with higher pressure and optimized aerodynamics. Note that the EQA 250+ does not include the roof bars and also it cannot be equipped with a trailer hitch. So if you need towing, you need to choose between the standard EQA 250 model or more expensive EQA 300 or 350 4-wheel drive variants.

The 2022 Mercedes EQA 250+ is already on sale in various European countries. For example, in Germany, EQA 250+ has a starting price of 55999 euros, which is 8500 euros more than compared to the standard EQA 250 model. But note that the EQA 250+ has more options as standard, like metallic paint (750 €), Electric Art package (940 €) and Advanced package (2035 €). So actual price premium is about 4000€.
