Hey, for anyone new, I'm Carlin.
I was in the Navy during Desert Storm, I served 9 years as an aircraft mechanic.

Maybe you've heard about this, there is a headline you hear once in a while, about 22 military veterans are commiting suicide, every day, in the US. That's pretty horrible. I don't have the answers, but I decided to help shine a light on the problem. My goal, in 2022, is to ride my bike to 22 states, in honor of the 22 veterans. Maybe we can end the tragegy.

On a bicycle my expenses will be snacks and tires mostly. I'm hoping to get about $500 of monthly support, but I'm living on about half of that now, so will do with what I have.

Which is where we start and end
The Sun Trip event.
March 24 I left the ranch.
I am currently ahead of schedule,
Will be at Palo Alto on May 29
Although I am in the area
2 weeks before.
The Sun Trip is end of May beginning of June
After the Sun Trip
The plan is to go on up the coast
Into Oregon
And then turn inland
And probably following
Highway 97 to Wenatchee, WA.
Palo Alto to Wenatchee WA 850
Wenatchee to Fargo 1300
Fargo to Lake Charles, LA 1300
Lake Charles to Home 1000
Remaining after Sun Trip ~4450
Estimated total 6000 miles
So we are about 25% Done
But the bike and kit are getting better!
