'Danse Macabre' Saint-Saëns with Harmonic Pedal - P. Barton, FEURICH piano

With Halloween in mind, here's a track from a CD & DVD recorded for FEURICH - Vienna & La Pédale Harmonique, Paris. Album title "Virtuoso Piano Music with the Harmonic Pedal". CD includes Liszt's "La Campanella", "Gnomenreigen" + works by Prokofiev etc. DVD video production in association with Thai Television featuring GoPro 3.

In this video I colour highlighted the score to show which of the harmonic pedal effects is used at any given time. It is general and doesn't show pedal release etc. The graphics in this video are available from the Danse Macabre album on my facebook piano page (link above)

The T. Riiter piano score featured in this video has numerous bars highlighted in red circles which indicate intentional omissions on my part.

The 4th harmonic pedal only is used in this recording. This allows resonance around staccato notes, additional colours mixed with una corda, a fast action sostenuto and the sustain, when required.
