A mixed media digital investigation by BBC News Arabic leads you through the disappearance of some of the world’s rarest ancient coins. Starting with the discovery of the coins by fishermen on the shoreline of Gaza, viewers take on the role of a journalist in this interactive story. You join the treasure hunt from Alexander the Great’s empire to the Palestinian Territories and the auction rooms of London. Via a collage of film footage, interactive animations, stills and documents presented on a digital investigation board you follow the trail of these coins and will discover how difficult it is to trace the history of ancient coins.
