Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Kat's Heaters Custom Diesel Engine Block Heater. This going to ensure smoother startups and faster heating and defrosting of your cab. It's going to replace the frost plug or core plug in the engine block and then it submerges in coolant. The area right here that needs to fit into the engine block where you're going to need to install the unit, that has a diameter of 2 1/4 inches, has a tightening device on there so that way you can ensure a nice tight secure fit and it's going to come with the appropriate seal. This is designed to submerge in coolant. It's going to warm engine fluid to increase lubrication and performance.

That's really going to help keep the fluid from thickening and it's going to protect against damage in colder weather. It's also going to preheat your engine to reduce condensation in the engine block, so it's going emit less pollution and fewer gas emissions. It does come with a removable power cord. You can wrap this through the grill and then plug it into a standard 200 volt AC outlet. The removable design is nice. For instance, if you ever damage the power cord, you don't have to replace the whole unit, just get a new power cord.

The unit's constructed of corrosion resistant brass. It is CSA approved and made in the USA. Again, the diameter of that area right there is going to measure 2 1/4 inches, wattage is 1,000 watts, amperage is 4.16 amps. A few notes that I need to mention. The first one is just do not use the heater with a 100% antifreeze solution and do not start your engine with the heater plugged in.
