12. Flower Urchin
It's a common misconception that the world is only full of mobile things that can hurt you, for there are plenty of immobile things that can hurt you also. For as many swimmers and divers have made note of over the years, one thing you absolutely have to look out for is the Sea Urchin.

11. Blue-Ringed Octopus
There are many octopus in the oceans, and all of them are dangerous in one form or another. But one that is easily separated from the others is the Blue-Ringed Octopus, for not only is it a master of camouflage, but it has one of the most deadly toxins in the world: Tetrodotoxin. If this toxin sounds familiar, it’s because this is the same poison that can be found in Pufferfish, as well as the infamous Poison Dart Frog.

10. Portuguese Man O' War
The Portuguese Man O' War is a very special type of ocean creature, mainly because it's commonly referred to as a jellyfish, when actually it is not. A jellyfish is a single organism that acts on its own brain. While the Portuguese Man O' War is a colonial organism, one that is made up of multiple species known as Zooids or Polyps. They work together to move around, eat, and even attack animals and people.

9. Puffer Fish
In case you don't know, the Puffer Fish has a toxin that is feared all over the world. Tetrodotoxin. When calm, the puffer fish looks just like a regular fish. But, when threatened or spooked, it'll inflate itself into its "ball form", one that protrudes a bunch of spikes meant to ward off prey.

8. Lionfish
The Lionfish is a very curious species in the oceans, mainly because its massive body (in terms of its protruding fins) make it very hard to miss, which is the point. The Lionfish is one of the most deadly creatures in the ocean and it doesn't try to hide it, its fins are incredibly toxic, and able to kill all sorts of life in the oceans.

7. Cuttlefish
When you hear the name "Cuttlefish", it kind of sounds like a rather kind aquatic creature, but when you see what it is in real life, you might be left scratching your head, especially when you hear that it is indeed toxic. The Cuttlefish is without a doubt one of the most unique creatures under the sea, notice that I say it's not a fish, because it's not, it's actually a mollusk, and one that is very closely related to both octopuses and squids believe it or not.

6. Cone Snail

Snails are thought of as very small and very slow creatures, and thus not very harmful to things like human beings but, the Cone Snail is a killer through and through. This is because of its unique toxin and how it administers it. For this isn’t the snail to rush at you and attack you, or bite you to get the poison in you. Rather, the Cone Snail has the ability to launch a harpoon at you with such deadly toxin, it’s potent enough to kill 20 men with a single drop.

5. Barracuda
There are many different types of "deadly" when it comes to the creatures of the oceans. And Barracudas are without a doubt one of the most dangerous things in the ocean today for a whole host of reasons. For example, the creature is a massive 6 feet in length on average, which makes it taller than the average adult human if you were to put them next to one another.

4. Lion's Mane Jellyfish
The Lion's Mane Jellyfish is one of the longest creatures on the face of this Earth, and is the largest Jellyfish on Earth.. Just the body, called the "bell" is known to be 7 feet long. But that's just one part of it, the other part, the part that makes it "abnormally large", is the tentacles. Each Lion's Mane Jellyfish can technically have up to 1000 tentacles on it, and sometimes it can have even more.

3. Sea Snakes
The Sea Snakes are easily one of the most amazing yet curious snakes species in the world right now. Mainly because they are of the same family that you will find Cobras and Coral Snakes in, but the vast majority of these snakes live underwater, and have completely adapted to marine life in such a way that going onto land is fatal (outside of one particular species to be clear).

2. Box Jellyfish
There are many ways to describe the pain of a bite, especially when it has venom pouring into your body.

1. Stonefish
The Stonefish is almost unquestionably the most venomous fish on the planet, and one of its key physical attributes is that it likes to camouflage itself into its environment. So at times you'll never see it coming...until it's too late.
