On September 8th, 2017, Troy gentry, one half of the iconic duo Montgomery Gentry, was preparing for what would have been one of his best concerts. Montgomery Gentry had ruled over the country music for more than a decade. With record breaking hits like, My Town, Something to Be Proud of, Gone, Speed, the duo has left an everlasting mark on the world of music. However, on that fateful day, the venue offered helicopter rides as a part of hospitality. Troy Gentry who loved adventure and sports immediately boarded the small Schweizer 269C two seater helicopter. Eddie Montgomery, the other half of the duo even waved him off, without knowing what tragedy was waiting for his friend.
