Did Christians Hate Vikings? Part Two: Crosses, Archaeology and Runes

You guys remember part one? When we looked at Charlemagne and the Saxon Wars and the Roman Empire and missionaries and monks and Frisians and Franks?

Well this time we're looking at the Vikings, including the invasion of England by the Great Heathen Army led by sons of Ivar the Boneless, Hiberno Norse and Norse Gael Ireland and the Isle of Man, burials and skeletons, and lots and lots of crosses and runestones with beautiful and mysterious carvings and runes and pictures all over them.

This is a complex discussion all about religion and religious tolerance, so there's a lot of n u a n c e in this video! So grab a drink and get some reading in as we try to answer an age old question without a clear answer because almost everything like this is nuanced and impossible to give a yes/no answer but this is the internet and people hate nuance so just watch and check out some nice pictures of stones.
