CP 2816 The Empress - Prelude to the Final Spike Tour - Compilation of Trips in Alberta 2023/2024

With the impending departure of the 2816 on CPKC's Final Spike Tour between Calgary, Alberta and Mexico, I have created a compilation of the 2816 making six break in runs between the Summer of 2023 and Spring 2024. These clips are available in seperate videos on YouTube, however have been melded together, without the freight traffic for easy viewing prior to the much anticipated departure on April 26, 2024.

CP 2816, an H1b 4-6-4 Hudson built by Montreal Locomotive Works in December 1930, has recently been restored to service by CPKC to celebrate the merger between CP and Kansas City Southern. Segments of the video include a test run between Calgary and Lethbridge, Calgary and Medicine Hat and two trips between Calgary and Edmonton.
