Bluefin Tuna in December?!? (500+ LB TUNA)

With the season-opening again yesterday and the weather looking reasonable, albeit damn cold, we set out at 6 am from Pamet to fish the Middle Bank in the hope of bagging a giant Bluefin Tuna.

After 10 mins, I spotted birds further North, we hauled in the lines and moved the mile or so to where I wanted to set out, it transpired that a Minke whale was playing which attracted the birds, never mind we still set out. The whale kept circling the boat and seemed very interested in what we were up to. Danny set out the first line and as I baited the second rod, the balloon on the first jumped, skipped and then ran off across the sea, we were tight!
