Mini Electric Cooper SE POV 139 mile road trip. To charge or not & why am I less efficient?

First range test with new wheels

This video is a ride along style video of another road trip pushing the range of the Mini, this time in more "normal" driving conditions. Taking busier faster roads, increasing average speed whilst still driving within the limits.

The purpose was to force the need to charge giving Susan more confidence and experience of charging.. As it turns out we still have sufficient range but gain the charging experience differently.

If you watch my other videos you'll know we travelled slightly less distance recently and acheives higher efficiency. The speed difference in the journey is no doubt the major contributor.

Avg speed 47mph efficiency 5.1mpkwh
Avg speed 38mph efficiency 5.6mpkwh

The speed difference is caused by a different route not by us deliberately going slower.

... Taking a slower maybe shorter route could add at least 10% additional range it seems
